Why mixing up your workout routines is a MUST!
It is great to set certain Fitness Goals when you hit the gym. Moreover, it is good to find certain areas which you would like to focus on more than others. However, what many people don’t know is that doing the same Workout Routines over and over again is a bad idea. Why? Read more as we explain to you what happens to your body when you don’t mix it up.
Reasons why you should mix up your workout routines:
To prevent plateauing
Plateauing is the stage you reach where you feel that the exercises you are doing are too easy. Reaching this stage means that your body is no longer improving or changing. To prevent that, you need to go for variations in how you set out to reach your goals. Moreover, you need to adjust your training program by adding weights, changing up your exercises or even the environment where you exercise.
To maintain balance
Many of us do this more often than not. We over train some muscles while we neglect others which can cause unbalance and lead to injuries. To avoid this, you need to alternate certain aspects of your fitness such as flexibility, endurance and strength. The more you balance your exercises, the faster you can achieve your fitness goals.

To avoid overdoing it
Too much of a good thing can also be bad for you. This is why shaking up your workout routines is essential in helping you avoid overworking or overstraining certain muscles. Just think of your body as a machine: using it to perform one thing all the time will cause strain on it and keep it from performing at its best.
To allow for rest periods
Your body needs to rest for it to repair and regrow any damaged muscle fibers. To allow it to do so, you need to let it rest between workouts and mix up your routines every now and then. Moreover, overstraining your muscles might keep you from exercising and reaching your fitness goals.

To keep it interesting
No matter which exercise you are doing, repeating the same exercise over and over again will become dull and boring sooner or later. When that happens, you will become demotivated and run the risk of losing interest in exercising or going to the gym. However, if you keep mixing it up, you will stay motivated and more willing to achieve your fitness goals faster and with more motivation.
