Monsoons are eagerly awaited in India for providing relief from scorching heat. People in many cities start dancing welcoming the first showers. Rainy seasons bring some of the best weather like chilly winds, low day temperatures and but dry patches often result in uncomfortable days.

Rainy season breeds bacterial and fungal infections which are difficult to get rid of till the weather changes. Heavy showers often stagnate where mosquitoes thrive and multiply manifold. Mosquito bites are common and so is the propagation of diseases like Dengue and Malaria.

Ladies are advised to avoid wearing high heels. Most roads become slippery and one slip can give you most horrendous results you would repent whole life. If you cannot avoid the high heels for some reason, make sure you reduce their height and lower the risk of any injury.

Tips for purchasing footwear for this monsoon
PVC Footwear is the best in rainy season. However, faux leather shoes are also available which are softer than plastic and resemble leather. When buying, inspect shoes from the inside for any sharp edges as the Shoe bites are troublesome. Moreover, once the skin is ruptured, it takes longer to heal and you will have difficulty walking normally.

Before purchasing a shoe or a sandal, look for footwear which has a good and strong grip keeping your feet in place and not slip when both shoes and your feet are wet. Even a small bruise refuses to heal quickly and a broken skin welcomes germs with open arms.

Avoid purchasing either Canvas or Sports Shoes
Both canvas & sports shoes have cotton components which when wet, take too much time drying. Even damp shoes possibly carry germs and harm your feet. Moreover, an object hitting your wet shoe will badly hurt your feet as the fabric is softened.

It is better to postpone purchasing either canvas or sports shoes till the monsoon season is over.
