Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Delta State Government and Thames Energy, an integrated contracting firm that offers a full package of energy services, to build a 20MW power plant for Ozoro community in Isoko LG, Delta state, IWIN reports.
The project is aimed at improving economic development, creation of jobs and the quality of life for BEDC’s customers by providing reliable and stable electricity with limited interruptions for the people of Isoko nation and Deltans at large.
The ceremony had in attendance the BEDC Management team led by MD/CEO; Mrs Funke Osibodu, ED Commercial; Mr. Abu Ejoor, MD, Thames Energy; Mr Akpovi Oyo, Rep of Delta State Government led by The Commissioner for Urban Renewal; Hon. Ilolo Oghenekaro, President General of Isoko Nation; High Chief, Iduh Amadhe and The local government chairmen of both Isoko North and South amongst others.
