Sports Cars go Fast for Good Reason
When you’re renting a sports car, it looks gorgeous. But you don’t get a sports car solely for the looks. You want to make sure that this baby can go! But where in South Florida are you going to be able to go where you can drive safely, quickly, and not be bogged down by heavy traffic.
The most practical places for pushing the speed limit
The state speed limit is 70 mph. There are quite a few places where you can reach that speed safely or at least near there.
Flamingo – Flamingo road has a consistent speed limit of 50 mph at any given time. During the mid day or later at night it’s easy to go through there without a lot of traffic getting in the way.
Interstate 95 – I-95 is consistently 70 mph. As a local native let me assure you that while the state speed limit is 70 mph most of the drivers who are on, there will be going well beyond that, go at your own risk.
Turnpike – If you want to get from Miami to Orlando quickly, the turnpike is the way to go. Not only is it a fantastic speed, but the roads themselves are smooth and fun to drive on.
Race Tracks in Miami
Homestead Miami Speedway – The Homestead Miami Speedway is an open track that is often used for people who are looking to drag race, but you are also allowed to take the cars for a spin there. With a driving assistant, you can surpass most of the land speeds because you are on a closed circuit area.
Palm Beach International Raceway – If you want to get out of Miami and drive near somewhere a little more north, check out the palm beach international race way. This offers a lot of the similar comforts that the homestead road way provides while giving you a chance to leave the city.
