The Chhattisgarh government has launched the “Hamar Beti-Hamar Maan” campaign in this state with an eye on women’s empowerment and safety.

The campaign will educate the local girls on a variety of important topics, such as their legal rights, appropriate touching, and sexual offences, according to the CM’s tweets.

He said, “Women officers and staff of the state police will contact with, mentor, and teach the daughters in schools and colleges about their legal rights, good touch, bad touch, molestation, sexual abuse, cyber crime, protection from social media crimes, and rights.

A helpline number would also be established as part of the Hamar Beti Hamar Maan campaign, he added, enabling anybody to report crimes against women and have them promptly investigated.

According to CM Baghel, “a special police force will patrol the girl’s schools, colleges, and other notable areas with the unique presence of females.”

He also revealed another decision made by the state administration, which is that the investigations into these cases would be handled by female investigators within a certain amount of time.

“Additionally, we have determined that female detectives will be assigned the task of prioritising the investigation of offences involving women. In addition, the IG Range will be in charge of seeing that the investigation is finished within a certain amount of time and that a challan is also issued “he added.

He said that by visiting the schools and colleges in the area, the ladies in the state’s educational institutions will receive training on how to use the programme created exclusively for women’s safety.
