There is this story in the Bible in the book of Luke chapter 5 verses 12 to 16, and it says that “While Jesus was in one of the cities, there came a man covered with [an advanced case of] leprosy; and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean and well.” And Jesus reached out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately the leprosy left him. Jesus ordered him to tell no one [that he might happen to meet], “But go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your purification, just as Moses commanded, as a testimony (witness) to them [that this is a work of Messiah].” But the news about Him was spreading farther, and large crowds kept gathering to hear Him and to be healed of their illnesses. But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray [in seclusion].”
It is GOD’s Will to heal us. If you study the life of the Lord Jesus in the Bible, you will learn that He went on healing, delivering and unbind people who had been bound with all kinds of chains, and blessing people all over, and so forth. You want to know God’s Will for your life, just learn of the Lord Jesus.
This man asked the Lord Jesus if He is willing to make him clean and well, and the Lord Jesus said “I’m Willing.” What does that tell us then? It is not God Will for us to stay in bondage, in our illnesses, and be bound with all of these chains of the kingdom of darkness. God wants us to be healed, delivered, and blessed.
The Bible says in the book of John chapter 10 verse 10, for instance, in New King James Bible version that “The Lord Jesus came that we may have life, and that we may have it more abundantly.” The same Scripture in New Living Bible translation says “His purpose is to give us a rich and satisfying life.”
When you see something is wrong with you, don’t settle for less, fight a good fight of faith and go to God and remind Him of what He promised. The Bible is full of God’s promises. Sickness and all these illnesses are really not our portion. The Lord Jesus cast out so many evil spirits and demons, don’t give up, remind Him of His promises.
The Bible says that anybody who is a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ has been given the authority necessary to drive out evil spirits and demons. The Lord Jesus said in the book of Mark chapter 16 verses 15 to 19 that “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My Name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and He sat at the right hand of God.”
When you try to cast out those evil spirits and they still don’t leave you; don’t give up even if it will take you years…hahaha. Try another approach until you get your victory. This time go to spiritual war by fasting and praying…hahaha. It will help you to increase your faith and remove the unbelief or doubt why you can’t cast them out. In the book of Matthew chapter 17 verses 19 to 21 says “Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
If you fasted and prayed and still didn’t work, find other believers maybe in your Church to pray and stand in faith with you. The Lord Jesus said in the book of Matthew chapter 18 verse 20 that “For where two or three gather in My Name, there Am I with them.” Don’t give up, because one day you will get your miracle.
If you find yourself being broke all the time; there are so many Scriptures that cover that topic. For instance; you can declare Deuteronomy chapter 8 verse 18 which says “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
Take that scripture and remind God, I read in Deuteronomy that it is You Who gives me power to get wealth. It is part of Your Covenant with Your People. Lord, please empower me. Give me ideas, open opportunities before me, in turn Lord, may You be glorified in my life.
If you are not in that level yet; right now you just worry about getting your bills paid, like me right now…hahaha. You can remind the Lord Jesus through Matthew chapter 6 verse 31 to 34 that says “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Tell the Lord, You said I shouldn’t worry, and I really don’t want too. Here are my bills and expenses, make a way for me of how I’m going to cover them this time. In Your Name I pray. Amen.
The Lord Jesus said in John chapter 15 verse 7 and 8 that “If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples.”
He said in John chapter 14 verse 13, “And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
He also said in Mark chapter 11 verses 24 and 25, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in Heaven may forgive you your sins.”
So many promises that assure us God will answer our prayers and He has our best interests at heart.
Let’s say you want God to give you wisdom to be able to make wise choices in your life. One of the scriptures you can pray through is in James chapter 1 verses 5 and 6, which says “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, Who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”
You can also pray for spiritual wisdom according to Ephesians chapter 1 from verses 15 to 23, which says “Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all.”
Those are just few Scriptures and examples you can pray through to remind God of His promises. But the key here is faith, because our authority is exercised through faith. We have to claim GOD’s promises through faith.
