Fastfood taste - KFC: Chizza & Californian Maki Twister

One of the places I used to frequently visit together with my parents as a kid was KFC fastfood restaurant. I know for sure that you've heard a lot of that restaurant. Of course, how would you not hear of a company with 30, 000 or more branches worldwide!

KFC, short for Kentucky Fried Chicken, was the first ( I think) foreign fastfood restaurant to enter into the Republic of the Philippines. Well, of course at Cebu when I was a kid, like around 7 to 10(?).

As a kid, I was taught by my father to eat spicy food since he likes spicy things too.
So whenever we go out and watch movies with relatives or just me and my family, we stop at some fast food chains to enjoy a meal.

KFC seemed like it wasn't popular to kids. As far as I can remember, kids usually prefer the ordinary chicken. But my parents and I always chose to buy "Hot & Spicy" chicken.
I always eat a lot since I was a kid, and the chicken at KFC has always been appetizing for me.
They don't cheat on the chicken's size. It was indeed spicy when they say it is. For now, it has been a long time since I tasted KFC chicken since there are few branches within Cebu. There are more local fast food branches of Jollibee than KFC, the former is currently the most famous fast food restaurant in Cebu.
I used to frequent at Gaisano Mactan's KFC branch.
Since it has been a long time, I am not sure if the spiciness was still the same as before.

On the month of May or earlier than that, I have noticed that KFC was building their own establishment. They used to just rent a certain place and operate there.
This building has a nice red color paired with black and white the same color as the founder used to wear, but I'm not sure with red... HAHA

I'm sorry for the covered name of the store. >.
 So, anyway.
When me and my family get the chance to visit there, we would go. It's not so crowded and there is enough seats to occupy.
There are 2 more sections where you can eat when it is full. One of the sections can be used as function room.
So it's time to order!
But by the way, why was I in KFC, anyway?
For you to know, there is this two things that I want to try .
The Californian Maki Twister and the other is Chizza.
You might be surprised at some points, but I would like to tell you that rice is always part of our food and gravy with the chicken, since crispy fried chicken only is dry, we pair chicken with gravy.

So I ordered in the counter and waited for my orders to finally sit down and take photos before eating!
Chizza is a chicken made crust pizza. I initially thought it was a cheesy pizza.
But oh well, it was good. Not as good as a pizza but fine to have a unique snack for a day.
It is quite weird to have a chicken fillet as a crust. It was crunchy and nice and maybe because pizzas use tomato sauce, it compliments the chicken and there is no problem to put it on top since we sometimes use tomato sauce for the chicken.
Although, Calvin, does not like it. I enjoy it because it is a crispy crust.
(Calvin is the other author here who makes food.)

And here is the Californian Maki Twister
Flat bread wrapping the twister

The twister really taste nice. I like to eat this hot because the wrap is deliciously soft and crispy at the same time.
The mayonnaise had a wasabi mix so it was refreshing to eat it.
Chicken, cucumber and some slices of mango made it more refreshing and good to eat during summer.

And one more thing!
I like their packaging!
The packaging looks really pretty looking like a chopping board with a lot of spices on it.

KFC always surprises me with their dishes. Now, I could visit KFC a lot more than before because of this accessible branch.

I don't frequently visit to fast food chains, but when I have to go, I'll visit this.
