June 2016 Wrap Up

Tags: book

That’s fast, we’re now in the middle of the year. June was a so-so month for me in terms of reading. Reading slump hit me and I was left with no choice but to let it pass because whatever I read I just couldn’t get through any of the books that I try to read. I’m all too positive that July will be better.

Here’s a recap of what I posted here on my blog for the month of June.

Books Read and Reviewed:

My Thoughts About Saga, Volume 1 by Brian K. Vaughan (Writer) and Fiona Staples (Artist) (Book Review #103)
My Thoughts About Me Before You by Jojo Moyes (Book Review #104)
My Thoughts About Blankets by Craig Thompson (Book Review #105)

Discussions and Features:

My Life-Is-Too-Short-To-Stop-Buying-Books Book Haul (a.k.a. My May Book Haul)
Book to Movie Update for Miss Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children : 8 New Character Posters Revealed
Book to Movie Review: Me Before You
Book to Movie Review: Me, Earl and the Dying Girl + Before I Go To Sleep

I just finished reading The Strange Library by Haruki Murakami and I am planning to finish Fortunately, the Milk by Neil Gaiman tonight so expect my book reviews for those two books the next coming days. I’m trying to slowly get back into reading by reading shorter books and hopefully that will eventually work for me.

And also expect another big book haul because one of the best bookstores here in the Philippines, Fully Booked, is currently having their month-long book sale in one of their branches which happens to be so near my place. I went there yesterday and I was able to take home with me 10 books. Fully Booked never did fail me when it comes to book sales. Will I go back? Of course!
