May 2016 Wrap Up

Remember when I said on my last wrap-up that I will no longer promise that I’ll read this or I’ll read that because I’m afraid of breaking it again? Well, that somewhat worked! I had a better reading month in May than last April and March!

Last month I also posted my very first Book tag post and I find it very fun to do so expect another one this June.

Here’s a recap of what I posted here on my blog for the month of May.

Books Read and Reviewed:

My Thoughts About The Midnight Sea by Kat Ross (Book Review #98)
My Thoughts About All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven (Book Review #99)
My Thoughts About Between the World and Me by Ta-nehesi Coates (Book Review #100)
My Thoughts About The Stonekeeper (Amulet #1) by Kazu Kibuishi (Book Review #101)
My Thoughts About Lumberjanes, Vol. 1: Beware the Kitten Holy by Noelle Stevenson (Book Review #102)

Discussions and Features:

Book Blog Feature #7: Book Quotes from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Book Tag #1: The Reading Habits Book Tag
Book Blog Feature #8: Book Quotes from All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

As for the book that I am currently reading, I picked up Me Before You like a week or two ago and I am still reading it until now. I thought I’ll be able to finish it last month but I never did. T___T Hopefully I can finish it before the movie comes out though. I blame it partly because of its very slow pacing which I later learned that it’s Moyes style of writing. Now I am planning to do a book + movie review where I’ll probably compare the two and weigh in which is more better. So yeah, watch out for that.

I have also “re-kindled” my love for graphic novels last month and I’ve been checking stand-alones and graphic novel series that is right up my alley and guess what, I ended up with a lot on my list. I currently have Amulet, Lumberjanes, Saga, The Wicked + The Divine, Anya’s Ghost, Ghost World, Y The Last Man, Ms. Marvel, This One Summer, Blankets and also planning to continue reading the graphic novels that I already started last year like Maus Vol. 2 and The Walking Dead Graphic Novel series. By that, expect a lot of graphic novel reviews in the next coming months.
