Reflections
A Poem
By Dominique Hodnett

The rain has stopped
The sun is up
Puddles reflect,
The warmth of the sun
A cozy glow
We didn’t see,
The drops fall
But we know they did
They left their mark
One of us passes by,
Then the next person sees
One thing we all share
That single moment
That passing glance
A temporary home
That welcomes us all
We never stay long
We have places to go
And people to see
Not much time,
To stop and think
Of all the other faces
That once were shown
But then were gone
Where did they go?
Right here I suppose
We're not much different,
From them
We share the same blessings
We endure the same curses
