IMC Treasure Box - Review

Keeping your child Busy during summer vacations is very difficult and all the more if your kid is as hyperactive as mine, well then May God bless you. For this very reason when IMC contacted me to review their Treasure Box I lapped it up. Anything to keep him busy.

When this arrived in the mail box we were very happy. It contained
  1. Book: Cave Art - The First Paintings by Vishaka Chanchani
  2. Activity: Make Cave Art
  • Brown paper to make a cave
  • Color for Painting on Wall of the cave
  • A baby Dinosaur to create a fossil kind of thing(which thrilled my kid to bits)
  • Painting Brush
  • Plastic cups for another activity
  • A kid friendly scissor for cutting paper &
  • There were few more thoughtful items
  • Skill to be developed: Knowledge about Prehistoric India.

  • What we loved about the box
    • A lot of thought had gone in assembling it. Every small thing that you could think of was provided for.
    • It was very creative & made the kid think.
    • It was informative
    • The quality of the stuff was very good, especially if you see the paper quality of the book
    • It kept my kid busy for 2-3 days there were so many activities in there.

The first thing that we did was assembling the map of Gondwana and that is what the monkey is saying in the last pic of the collage.

We eat n Work!!! The blue paper on which we had stuck the map has been painted by the monkey.

We did not follow the instructions to the T; we modified and gave few things our own twist. Like in this activity we were supposed to stick this brown Paper on a cardboard box and make a cave but my husband improvised and decided to stick it on the wall (yes I did hyperventilate over the marks it would leave on the wall but got over it pretty quickly). So they painted those fossils, stuck the caveman, hand painted the dinosaur (credit: son)/ elephant (credit husband)

Yes we work and we brag!

The picture below gives you an idea about  the whole wall. There is Dinosaur which has given an egg *rolls eyes* and there is an elephant as well. To be honest I was quite amazed with the way husband guided brat to do everything. The wall art really turned out to be amazing.
    The Full Picture!

My monkey also took Dough from me & made that dinosaur egg etc unfortunately I forgot to click a picture.

All and All I loved the box because it challenged my sons creativity & kept him busy. Busy in a such a way that he ended up learning a lot out of it.
