Fighting Self Created Devils....Day 18

I went over to the Thela and started browsing for bindi's. Brat accompanied me and while we were browsing we Started Talking with the lady.

Though she had a small bulb in the thela it's battery was drained & wasn't working. My baccha went on to asking her why she doesn't have electricity & how she can pull it up from the building behind the shop etc.

The lady started talking about her life how she was too poor to spend money on electricity (though I was sympathetic to her but somehow don't like people crying in front of small  unassuming kids about how gareeb he/ she is but that's my personal opinion), how her husband was an alcoholic & how she got burned 20 years ago while cooking in kitchen....we conversed for 15-20 mins.

The whole essence of my interaction was to break a block that I had in myself. I was guilty of looking away from her face. I wanted to make brat look at people without prejudice to make him understand that even if somebody looks different for whatever reason we need not stay away from them because it is only when you interact with them you realize we all are same.

I was successful because by the time we left brat was able to look at her normally and we both had learned our lessons. I guess our kids are what we are and to make them human we need to be human first :)

This post was brewing in my brain but it was RM's post that reminded me to put it up here. So thanks dear :D
