Starting with five group members and ending up on four returning, the plot for Force Of Nature kicks off at the very beginning of the book. Alice had reasons for wanting to get back early from the team building exercise but did she meet a fate along the muddy track or hot foot it to finish off some unfinished business? That's for me to know and you to find out.
Hitting the bookshelves after a fantastic debut with The Dry, Jane Harper has another tale to tell with her previous character Aaron Falk. Still in police mode, Falk takes it upon himself to follow up on the strange story unfolding from other members of the group.
Force Of Nature partially reminds me of Lord Of The Flies where trust disintegrates within the group and violence isn't far behind it. With tensions running high in the group from the start, the women involved soon feel emotions slipping through their fingers and as the situation seems to darken the remaining group members begin to announce that they all had asked about Alice's wellbeing.
Moving along with the story, it seems Alice knows secrets about the company and people she works for. It was them that planned the exercise out in the middle of nowhere so was it all planned? Another spoiler that I will not be revealing.
The book Force Of Nature is an easy five stars with an addictive plot, more twists than a rollercoaster and characters you love to hate.
