Body mists are a product I have only recently hooked up with the phrase where have you been all my life! Until recently I lived off of my collection of perfumes which clutter my dressing table to smell fab. BUT since seeing endless photos of the new So body mists in Superdrug I became convinced that I needed to try out this gorgeous looking products.
Using the excuse that I needed one to pack in my hospital bag for giving birth ( you can read about that experience in My Birth Story : How Baby Jessica Had A Traumatic Entrance To The World ) I ventured down to the stores and nabbed a couple of lovely fruity scents. The idea being that smelling fruit would help to make me feel refreshed and maybe a little more alive. Turns out I didn't really use them at the hospital as intended but I now have two body mists which I love!
The first body mist I grabbed was the Body Fantasies Pink Vanilla Kiss. After walking around my local Superdrug three times I finally found the display of body mists and spent no time at all in choosing which I wanted. Products on offer always attract my eye and since I hadn't used a body mist before I didn't want to spend too much on something I may not like. Cheapskate I know!
It turns out I really like the scent of Pink Vanilla Kiss! I have to say a quickie that I had to physically cut the end of the tube inside the container because the spray didn't work .... ( cheaply made? ) but once I got the product working I really liked it. I don't get a huge amount of vanilla coming through but there is just enough to give the fragrance a lovely feel which is incredibly addictive. The plastic bottle also makes the product great for travel - especially if you have butter fingers like me!
Thinking that one just wasn't enough I also ventured into The Body Shop to try a cruelty free spray from their impressive selection of fruit goodness. Since summer is the month for Wimbledon I opted for the Strawberry Body Mist.
The word fruity does not do this spray justice. It smells amazing!! Priced at £8 this spray was a bit more than what I wanted to spend but supporting companies who are against animal testing is something I do so I dug deep and gave the cash to those who deserved it.
I really like the packaging for the Strawberry Body Mist but the only drawback for me personally is the fact it's made of glass. Every time I pick it up I pray that I won't get over excited and send shards of glass everywhere!
Since I love both of these scents ( and the whole concept of body mists in itself ) I've already decided that I want to try the Hawaiian Tropic range and the So body mists. Time to get those pennies out again!
