If we ever travel to far away (or close by) places for a holiday, then we invariably stay in a hotel close to the beach. On our recent trip to Australia, we decided to break from that tradition and try self-catering with Airbnb. What an eye opening surprise it was. Home from home doesn’t even begin to describe the property we rented. It was a ground floor granny flat (why do you never get grandad flats?) which was part of but separate from the owners own home. It had a living room/dining area and bedroom as well as access to a pool, garden and bbq area. There was free wi-fi, TV, DVDs and a music system.
Situated a very short distance from the Quinns Rock beach, the location and the owners were ideal. Here is a link to the property on Airbnb and this is the review my wife wrote on the Airbnb website.
This apartment/granny flat far exceeded our expectations. Spotlessly cleaned and beautifully furnished. The owners had thought of everything. They were even happy for my noisy grandchildren to use the pool and amenities when they visited. Would certainly stay here again. Many thanks Helen and Stu for making our visit so wonderful.
Price wise it’s great value for money and the little extras provided, like a welcome pack with bread, milk, butter, water, jam, fruit and cereals were a great touch, especially as we arrived in the dead of night and had no time to do any shopping, let alone find a shop.
All in all our nine day stay in Quinns Rock was wonderful and we will certainly stay there again the next time we visit.
