The Relentless Weekly – Nov. 21, 2020

Well, hasn’t everything been something lately? Whew.

Writing: A whole lot of nothing! Ah, that’s not entirely accurate. I’ve Written loads if we’re talking about college assignments (#GrandmaGoesToCollege), exasperated tweets about the shredded state of our democracy, or sternly worded letters to our elected officials. But no, I haven’t written here in a few weeks.

Reading: I recently finished The Heartbeat of Wounded Knee by David Treuer, another excellent nonfiction offering from him.

I wanted to dig right into Obama’s bio, but I’ve decided to put it off until Monika’s #ChunksterReadathon at the end of December. (Doesn’t that sound like fun!? Join in!)

As of now, I’m listening to With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo. Great stuff so far. (Teen mom stories always speak to me.)

Working: After a long year of being sidelined I’m back to work! I’ve accepted a new position, and was delighted to do so. My brain is buzzing from stepping into a new office and learning new things. I admit that working full-time and going to school full-time is a challenge, but it’s one of the good ones.

Speaking of, I have to get a bunch of homework done today. I’d better sign off and get to it. I hope you’ve had a good week and that the one ahead is even better!
