If you are serious about accelerating your career, this reading challenge can help you. The Strategic Reading Challenge is not just about reading books. It is also about profiting from the books that you read. I recommend that you take notes by hand. And after you finish reading a Book, you review your notes to extract the five big ideas.
After you have read five books, you start to combine the ideas from all the books you read that month. I created a handy guide to lead you through the process to ensure that you get the most from the books you read. One great idea has the potential to transform your life. Let us get Month Eight of the Strategic Reading Challenge started. This month, instead of visiting a specific continents, all the books you read women wrote. This is a way to get introduced to women authors.

This month we are doing something a little different. We are reading women. And we are reading different genres of books that women wrote. To make the process easier for you, I am including a link to books that you can choose to read.

- Read an autobiography/biography of a woman written by a woman.
- Read a science fiction a woman wrote.
- Read a murder mystery a woman wrote.
- Read a classic literature a a woman wrote.
- Read a book that deals with a serious topic that a woman wrote.
- Each week, read a technology article from a well-respected journal/magazine.

Your goal is to learn skills you need for a job today. Take a look at the list of skills and abilities you have to master, how do your current skills stack up?
