Romance is sweet. When enhanced with sweet love poems, Romantic cards and sharing, it can help mirror your worth back to you. This could be why, at the start of romance, this world can seem nearly perfect. You might even believe that you and your lover can get through any challenge as long as you have each other. Admittedly, it’s during these early days that romance can be empowering.

Stay in Awe to Create Sweet Love Notes

But, how do you stay aware of emotions that accompany early romance after you’re two or more years into a relationship? How do you keep romantic relationships as exciting as sweet love notes, preventing the relationship from taking on a staleness? A good start is to Practice being in awe of everything around you. As an example, you could pay attention to birds fluttering their wings outside your home or on the path that you walk.

Try to hear the sound of water bubbling as it fills your sink or tub. See if you can create a song, using the sound of your washing machine or dryer as background music. Simply let yourself be fascinated and in awe of what’s happening around you.

As you practice being in awe of what you experience, that spirit of awe could inspire you toward greater appreciation. And, the more you appreciate what happens to and around you, the more you may appreciate your romantic Partner. Then, express your appreciation by surprising your partner with short love notes and romantic cards.

Establishing Good Habits

Continue these practices to build momentum. After awhile, these practices may become a habit. When this occurs, your brain may signal you to enter states of awe and appreciation at specific times of the day, when you see leaves falling off trees or each time that you see your partner smile.

As rewarding as these practices are, there may be an even deeper reaching action that you could take to keep your romantic relationship vibrant. And, that is to commit to helping your partner to awaken. Make yourself a top priority when it comes to awakening too! For instance, your partner and you could encourage each other to maintain daily practices of awe and appreciation.

Inspire Inner Awakening

Here are other actions that may inspire inner awakening. The first action involves how you kick off your day. To begin, start your day with thanksgiving. You could raise your hands and simply say, “Thank you for the opportunity to step into new, surprising love-filled experiences.” Other actions include:

  • Sitting still for 5 to 15 minutes in the morning and sitting still for 5 to 15 minutes just before you retire to bed
  • Journal – Sit down and write in a journal at the end of each day. Also, write in your journal when you experience strong emotions like excitement, nervousness,  fear or joy. You could also journal about times when you receive clear inner guidance.
  • Choose a romantic partner who takes full responsibility for him or herself. Should this occur, your partner won’t hold you responsible for how he or she feels, thinks or behaves.
  • Opt for a partner who practices self-love, is not violent verbally, physically, financially, emotionally or mentally. You want to hook up with someone who’s healthy and trusted committed to walking in love.
  • Walk during the morning or evening with your partner. It’s amazing what being outside in nature does to your energy. Consider getting into the habit of being outdoors in nature with your partner. It’s a good way to experience awe in what’s happening around you with your lover. That alone could make weekly or daily walks romantic gifts for her or romantic gifts for him.
  • Attend a spiritual retreat with your partner. At night during the retreat, write and share short love poems for her or short love poems for him.
  • Soak in a warm, relaxing bath that has a gently scented aromatherapy foam. As another option, your partner and you might enjoy a bath sprinkled with liquid epsom salt. Epsom salt has long been said to support good sleep and relaxation.
  • Live in the present (being in awe is an easy way to do this)
  • Read top romance novels aloud with your partner. Who knows? What you read in top romance novels may generate romantic gift ideas, including creative romantic gift ideas that don’t involve money.

Stay Open

Stay open as you continue to engage in daily practices that support awakening. Additionally, de-clutter when the room at your home starts to feel or appear smaller. De-cluttering can help you to avoid storing food that has expired. It can also assist you as you build financial strength.

In this instance, instead of buying more clothes, shoes, appliances or electronic gadgets, you could upgrade certain items or exchange products. This choice could keep you from feeling an impulse to buy a larger home, taking on an even bigger mortgage. Considering that money is a leading cause of divorce and other relationship breakups, this de-clutter benefit could strengthen your romantic relationship in several ways.

Even more, it may train your brain to spot non-physical habits that are cluttering your life and your romantic relationship. As an example, you might notice that at least once a day, you search for a personality trait or a habit (e.g. chin rubbing, frequent yawning an hour before bedtime) that your partner engages in that you will let irritate you.

It’s An Ongoing Practice

Look at this as a thought habit that’s cluttering your life and you may decide to stop doing this. Whatever practices that you use, aim for spiritual awakening. Yet, remember that you cannot force insights to come to you. That’s why daily practices are important.

Also, daily practices may keep you aware that non-physical experiences shared with your partner may offer more far reaching benefits than any sweet love poems, short love notes or romantic gifts. Accompany daily practices with patience and honest communication.

After all, the longer your partner and you are together, the more challenges and rewards may be presented to both of you. Your partner also may build trust in you and share painful events from their past. Each shared event could reshape your perception of your partner.

This is when daily practices, especially the practice of being aware can pay off huge. Each time that you practice awareness and live in the present, you may spot errors in thinking and behaving that you engage in. Although this could offer several outcomes, one sure outcome might be patience to work through inner changes (including tremendous challenges) with your partner.

These non-verbal choices can work as loving affirmations similar to how sweet love poems, romantic cards and sharing at the start of your romantic relationship mirrored your worth back to you. Furthermore, these choices can serve as very sweet love notes, benefitting you and your romantic partner.
