The Health Benefits of Laughter

They say that laughter is the best medicine. The correctness of that statement has been proven over and over through the years. Who would believe that something as casual and simple as laughing can get your internal organs pumping to life? Trust me; I didn’t believe it until I saw it myself.

In this article, I will show you some of the Health Benefits of laughter, so maybe when next you get on that bus, you can crack yourself up and feel well. Please don’t try that. It could be your last bus ride as a free man.

I always advise my friends and family to attend comedy shows or even watch some interesting comedy movies that help you relax. Having friends around who are funny is even more critical. Let’s take a look at some of the health benefits.

1. Your stress hormone level is significantly reduced

With the way the world is going, every day feels like a new stress adventure, starting with your daily morning routine and ending with your evening job. Perhaps you are having to deal with the stress and pressure of attending to so many people at the same time. And think of all those other things that look like they were made particularly to drain you.

I usually get back home, find something to eat, freshen up, put on a Kevin Hart comedy video, and laugh myself to sleep. There’s no better way to pump your hormone levels back up in the shortest time possible, especially when you consider the fact that you’re not paying for it.

2. Laughter balances your blood pressure

People who laugh more often have been found to have more stable and low Blood Pressure. Even if your blood pressure is low and okay, you should consider laughing at the funny things in news, movies, or even real-life events. Find something to laugh about. A wise man once said, “You can’t exhaust life’s problems.” No matter how wealthy you become, there’s always something to worry about, so find something sustaining to laugh about, and help your heart pump cleaner blood.

3. It triggers the release of endorphins

Naturally, endorphins help to reduce pains in and on the body. Your body releases them when there’s an injury on the body. Laughing really hard can trigger the release of endorphins to boost the painkilling effect.

4. Abs work out

Although the effects are not as strong as when you engage in a real workout, laughter can actually help you burn some unwanted fat. Have you ever laughed so hard that you start to feel some tightness around your belly? Yes, that’s what I’m talking about. Laughing hard regularly can get those six packs pumping.

5. Promotes a happier life

Laughing regularly doesn’t only make people think you’re happy; it actually makes you feel happier about yourself. The more you laugh, the more you find more things to laugh about, and the happier and healthier you become.

Laugh freely today, and get your blood pressure on the low. I always say that you should, “Keep your friends close and keep your funny friends closer.”
