"Every step out of your comfort zone is momentous."

A thought by Michael Todd, from his book, Crazy Faith. (p. 31). The Crown Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.  (Click on the book title to go to Amazon to buy the book.)

It really is!

Michael says, "Each and every step you take in baby faith is a momentous occasion that’s bringing momentum for your miracle. People may not understand how valuable your pint-sized progression toward purpose really is, but don’t let anybody make you feel bad for working your muscle of faith. Every step out of your comfort zone is momentous. Each step past fear makes you a walking miracle. Every time you share your testimony is monumental. The words you speak in faith bring momentum. Even your attempt to grow your faith by reading this book is movement forward."

Zechariah 4:10, "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin. "

He continues, "For some of you, taking steps of baby Faith means going back to the basics. Maybe it’s not your first time stepping out, but it can still be hard to start over and start small."

He later says, "For a long time in my Christian life, I was convinced that certain things were below God’s care-o-meter. There were small things I chose not to bother God with because I assumed He had bigger things to be concerned about. What I didn’t realize was that those small situations were opportunities to rely on Him. Proverbs 3:6 says, 'In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths' (NKJV). Many people tend to exclude or deemphasize the word all in that verse. But all encompasses small things too. The inconsequential, minor, measly, not-that-big-of-a-deal, tiny, trivial details of our lives—all of them matter to God. Remember, the Baby Faith you exercise in one season will build your faith muscle to believe Him for the big things coming later."

He then says, "What seems too small for others to care about is just the right size for God. You may think, God doesn’t care if I get a good parking spot at the mall or God doesn’t care about this car payment or God doesn’t care whether my hair grows back. But the truth is, God cares about what we care about, no matter how small, simply because we are His children. If it hurts us, He feels it. If it’s important to us, it’s important to our Father. When we exclude God from any part of our lives, it shows Him where our faith really lies. I would never want my kids to think I don’t care about their scraped knees or the toys they want for Christmas. I want them to feel completely confident that they can come to me about anything. The answer may not always be yes, but I will always do what I believe is best to help them heal and grow and be examples to others."

So let's small so we can grow, okay? Yes, yes! #continuethought
