2018 Diverse Summer Reading List Webinar

On Wednesday, May 16th at 4PM EDT, we will be hosting a webinar to launch the 2018 Diverse Summer Reading List. Join Lee & Low Books’ Literacy Specialist, Katie Potter, MS.Ed., for an enjoyable discussion about the 2018 Diverse Summer Reading List.

During the webinar, we will examine the summer slide, research behind the summer slide, and different titles in grade bands PreK-2, 3-5 and 6-8 that you can use with children to keep up with reading all-year long. We will spotlight simple, yet entertaining, book-related activities to do with children in the classroom, library, or at home. At the end of the webinar, you will have engaging strategies you can explore with these books in addition to our 2018 Diverse Summer Reading List.

Katie Potter is the Literacy Specialist at LEE & LOW BOOKS. She has a Master’s of Science in Education from Bank Street College of Education in Literacy & Childhood General Education Grades 1–6 and is certified in Literacy & Childhood Education Grades 1–6 in New York State. She has worked as a children’s educational researcher, a student teacher in 1st and 5th grade classrooms, and as a first-grade literacy instructor.
