The Snob Within!!!

Lately I have realized that I have become quite snobbish in making friends.  I have a clear list of what I do not want from a friend and trust me the list is pretty long.

You can not take me for granted! I may go out of my way to help people but that doesn't mean I will let them walk over me. Friendship doesn't work that way for me. I have seen many friends doing that to each other and if it happens to me; I cut off myself.

I like practical people. We might not talk for months but when we speak it should always be about how are you and how are things if you start Cribbing "you didn't call me for so many days" I am like hello it takes two to tango. You also didn't call and what has happened is past. Talk now if you want to. Simple!

You can not be Indecisive & if you are then am not there for you, sorry! My patience threshold for Indecisive people is very low. I have had friends who go on cribbing about the problems in their life. I offer some advice if they ask and move on. Next day they come back and crib more about the same thing and the cycle goes on. According to me there are broadly two types of problems i) problem is such that you can not do anything about it & ii) such problems where you need to take an action and resolve it. If the problem falls in Category (ii) then please try to resolve it and stop cribbing. I might be your friend but I can't stand serial cribbers. I can listen to your woes but you can't Expect me to discuss them day in day out. I might have my own set of woes. Don't expect me to be your agony aunt if you can't take the steps to change your life for better.

Food Chasers beware. You might be my best good friend but I love my food more. I will NOT share my favorite food with you. OK may be I will share but a very teeny weeny bit but if you expect me to share the full thing day in day out then please call me selfish but I am not interested.

I hate lending money. Not that friends shouldn't help each other but it's simple; money spoils relationships and I don't want that. And I have many a times refused people.
