Book Description
Sixteen-year-old Addy is having strange dreams about a cabin in the woods and her father. Meanwhile, her tiny town is reeling from the murders of three teenagers, and then four. My Thoughts & Takeaways
Addy dyes the tips of blonde hair black, dresses in black clothing, and looks just about nothing like her “perfect” older sister. Addy has been having dreams all of a sudden of a child in and near a cabin. They feel familiar but not enough to think anything further. But, then people start dying eerily similar to those in her dreams.
I really liked Addy and it kind of reminded me of myself. I also loved how the author didn’t do the typical opposite sisters’ routine where they hate each other. Addy and Mary actually are very close despite their differences.
This was a short and intense read – I didn’t know anything of it before starting but I finished it in one sitting. The premise of the story was fantastic and right up my horror, true crime loving self.
The cliffhanger was great and I can’t wait to read book 2!
