I always wondered what Women want but whatever I come up with bites the dust sooner or later. So, I was pleasantly surprised to read this book. It deals with most of those questions.
The author has written crisp, tight short stories in which she has created half a dozen or so strong women who much like Jackie Chan go through hell before giving It back. Mostly.
The language used is almost perfect. I say almost coz, in here, I see a need for the writer to be thorough in explaining a point. What I am trying to say is when the story is so good it does not need the minute details. It’s time to decide if you want to be a writer or a storyteller.
The writer uses a cool ploy in some of her stories. They are not one but two stories. She forks them to show us an alternative. I found this method unique and interesting. Hope readers enjoy it too.
Women will love this book. Its OK, for women constitute the bulk of the reading community. I only wish that the writer used the power of pen not just to list out the plight of women, but also to find a solution. Not that it diminished the story in any way.
If this is how she writes short stories, I can’t wait for her novel.
