Avro Mukerji's Few Urban Thoughts | barefactreviews.blogspot.com

Name of the book: Few Urban Thoughts

Poet: Avro Mukerji

Anguish.

That is what the poet is going through.

And it’s not just urban, it's universal.

Sadness is the sum of everything that we read here. Not necessarily a markdown. Some of the best Bollywood songs are sad ones. We enjoy it. But can’t help wondering what the poet went thru to bring that to us.

Interesting to note exactly why a banker picks up the poetry pen. What life experience, what event, led to the decision? And did the poet even have a choice, or was poetry the best way to express what he knew? Or was it his last resort?

To top it, the book has some interesting drawings interspersed throughout.

The only problem with this book is that it ends too quickly. Leaves you thirty.

I rate it a big 4 out of 5.

And you too should read it and enjoy it as I did.

Genre : Poetry

Rating: 4/5 stars
