Book Review: The Kingmaker (Powerplay #2) by Selena Laurence

Hi all!

Thought I would also add a few reviews of books I read a while back.

So here comes the first one. Its about The Kingmaker...

This book is a political romantic novel about Derek whose job is to help politicians rise up the ladder and even run for presidents!  His current job is to actually help the politician become the president!!! But when he meets London, an escort that his client is fooling around with, his whole world collides.

London is a beautiful young woman who, due to life's circumstances, had to become an escort..she doesn't like it but it offers her a lavish life style. When she meets Derek she is not sure if she will be able to open up to him even though she really wants to.

Honestly I really loved this book!

It has such strong characters. The author managed to oh so graciously convey the feelings of both the leading man and lady of the book.

I loved how you could feel the angst of London when she was fighting to acknowledge her feelings for Derek, to open up and let him in. And how Derek, even though it seemed like he was throwing his carrier away, still fought to win London's heart.

I also loved how the author managed to capture the feelings of a girl working as an escort..

Overall it was a great book I would love to read more from this author.

Hope you enjoyed my short review.
