Wicked is my favourite musical (I could act out the whole thing) so when I found a book tag I got very excited about it, I was practically Dancing Through Life!!
This tag was created by "What the hell is she reading?" and you can find her original post -HERE.
Links to each song can be opened by clicking on the titles.
1. No One Mourns the Wicked
A character who no one would feel bad if they died
Amy from Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.
I do admit she is incredibly clever and I do think she is an amazing character but... I would feel no sorrow over her death.
2. Dear Old Shiz
A book set in college or university
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell.
This completely revolves around college. It is also EXTREMELY relatable.
3. The Wizard and I
A book that gives you hope
Secrets For the Mad by Dodie Clark.
This book was so honest and personal that it gave me hope that as a society we can be more open and accepting of mental illnesses.
4. What is this feeling?
A book you loathed
Looking For Alaska by John Green.
I can feel the hate already! But I just could not stand this book!!
5. Something Bad
A book you knew something bad was going to happen but didn't know what
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.
Of course I knew something bad was going to happen, but it did go a different route to what I originally expected.
6. Dancing Through Life
A carefree, light book
The Adventure of the Wishing-Chair by Enid Blyton.
Carefree and light are not words that tend to go anywhere near my reading experience. But this a childhood favourite.
A book that needs more recognition
Glass Houses by Rachel Caine
I know I always pick this one but this series seriously needs more credit!!
8. I'm Not That Girl
A book with a heart break
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
Heart break for characters and reader....
9. One Short Day
A Book set in a country or city you've always wanted to visit
Germany - The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I want to visit Germany at some point as I have heard it is beautiful (obviously not going at the time this book is set though...)
10. A Sentimental Man
A character that tries to do good but is an antagonist
Adri from Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Yes, she was completely unfair and I do not support her views. But she did everything she could to look after her two daughters and to make sure that they get everything they want. I may be the only one who sees this.....
11. Defying Gravity
A character who lets nothing get in their way
Adelina from The Young Elites by Marie Lu
I would not want to get in her way!!!
12. Thank Goodness
A special or happy event that takes place in the midst of bad things within the book
Bill and Fleur's Wedding- The Deathly Hallows
Wizardkind is literally falling apart and they have a wedding.... no wonder it ends badly!
A character who's full of themselves
Edmund from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S.Lewis
He literally spends the whole time being a selfish idiot and even when realising what he had done he defends himself!!
14. As Long As You're Mine
A scene from a book where your OTP couldn't take heir hands off each other
Fallon and Ben from November 9 by Colleen Hoover
This book... avoid reading in public
15. No Good Deed
A character who is truly good but keeps messing up and hating themselves for it
Hedda from Countless by Karen Gregory
She definitely means well but her mind is a constant battle.
16. March of the Witch Hunters
A book with a call to action
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
This whole book is about them joining together and going to battle!
17. For Good
A book that has changed you for good
It's Kind Of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini
This book was heartbreaking and beautiful. It was also so down to earth and honest.
Favourite book series finale
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
That awkward moment you question how many series you have actually gotten to the end of...
This book was amazing though!!
That's it. These songs are now going to be stuck in my head for ages!!
I hope you enjoy. I am not tagging anyone but feel free to do it and link back to the original.
