How to juggle writing with your personal and professional life.

It's a constant struggle working with a tight schedule, if you're a teenager, you have friends, school, tests, work, exams, family. It's like being on a tightrope, juggling multiple balls and hoping one won't fall. If you're older, an adult, the balls are a little more serious, you have work, bills, loans, work, it's a constant struggle. So here's a couple tips on how to continue Writing through the constant stress of life

Teenagers:

When you've finished school for the day, you have to go home and finish any excess work before you attempt to Write. If you're trying to write with other unfinished work on your mind then you won't be able to focus completely on your story. It doesn't take a big amount of energy or time to write, you don't need to make an entire office with soundproof walls and an ancient typewriter with days at a time to focus into your story. All that's needed is a simple sheet of paper, a pen and thirty minutes to make at least a page or more. Once you get into the habit of writing daily, it'll come smoother and easier to get into your characters and story and over time you'll be able to get more done in that small of amount of time.

When finding the time, it could be anywhere, from the moment you wake up, during lunch break, even as you go to bed. Writing shouldn't take over your entire life, it's supposed to be a leisure activity, something you're supposed to enjoy. Not a burden that you can't break once you start.

Adults (just out of college or already working) :

Working a full job is already a challenge. However, finding free time isn't impossible as one might think. As I've mentioned before a popular theme in a busy schedule is writing while you're eating, or during a break, a lot of the same methods apply. Before you go to bed and when you're eating however seem to be the most popular and work the best for me. I believe the worst possible method would be to write while you're working, you need to be able to focus on your work or else the story itself will suffer. I don't mean it'll feel pain or it'll come out wrong, I mean as in the story won't live up to you, the author’s, best writing ability.

Even if you only get a paragraph done, as long as your focus it'll be better than anything you write while distracted by outside factors. No matter how complicated your schedule might been, there's always time to write. If I didn't mention anything that falls into your schedule, then the next couple of days, watch yourself, carry around a notebook, and find spare time that you could use to write. You don't even need a notebook, even your phone can be idolized, it's smaller and more convenient to carry around with you. Even if you can get a few sentences in at a time, you're still making progress on your story. No matter how cluttered you are, there's always time you can use somewhere.
