Writing start: 10:49 A.M.
Finish: 3:30 P.M.
Total new words (est.): 1300
Edited (est.): 11,800

1. Failure: Special read-through (Ch.4)

2. Book Three Melody: 500 new words
Notes: This chapter (11) may end up exceeding 6K words.

3. Watson: Special read-through (Ch.5)

4. Slum: Primary edit number five.

5. Love Story: Off

6. Rumpel: 500 new words
Notes: I finished the chapter today!

7. Ant story: Off

8. Dread Pirate Roberts (2): 300 new words
Notes: Slow-going, but mainly because by the time I get to this project, I'm pretty pooped.

Extra notes: An infuriating article in the Washington Post yesterday on how people game Amazon's rating and review system via Facebook.

The article doesn't mention book publishers or indie authors, but it should, because I know the problem is at least as bad with them as it is with anyone else who attempts to sell anything on Amazon.

I have nothing but contempt for such people, because they harm everyone. The ones who game Amazon (and other retailers) that I personally know couldn't care less.

Getting attention for your work is harder today, ironically, then at any time before the Internet. That's goddamned ironic, don't you think? Not only is it harder to get that attention, but the attention you get, as I've posited many times in the past, is increasingly worthless.

The same problem, I am certain, plagues other artistic mediums, including music.
