The phone was buzzing for a long time, before Dr. Zabrowski answered. It was late night, or early morning, or somewhere in between. It must be something important, and it must be some bad news. No one would be so persistent to give some good news at this time of the night.
“Arkadiusz, turn your bloody TV on!”
Dr. Zabrowski walked into the living room, fumbling in a dark through things left on the coffee table to find the remote control.
“What is the problem? Is something on fire?”
“Your ass will be on fire!”
Reporter on TV was standing in front of the vacant warehouse down by the riverside. First thing Arkadiusz noticed was Police cars and the ambulances in the background.
“It is early to say as yet what has been going on here before this tragedy. Allegedly, the police has been informed by an anonymous caller about Bodies of dead men found in the largest building back there.”
In that moment reporter stepped back to show the building. Flashes of rotating light gave the building eerie appearance. Bulletin was flashing at the bottom of the screen. Riverside area. Three dead bodies found. Meanwhile, the reporter continued.
“Two male and one female dead body found inside. – We have no confirmation but our sources find out that two males are the Cane brothers. Female body belongs to a teenage woman. It is early for much detail, but apparently they were killed late this night.”
Dr. Zabrowski was confused. Their operation had nothing to do with Cane twins. Two of them were customers, but it was a long time ago.
“I don’t get it?”
“Shut up and pay attention!”
Program went back in the studio, where a photo of a familiar face appeared. It was a blurry image taken from surveillance cameras of the one of the nightclubs.
