The Drifter by Nick Petrie

Peter Ash is a veteran struggling with PTSD which he calls the white static. The white static is synonymous with noisy claustrophobia.   He was a Lt. and fond of his men.   He finds out one of his men has committed suicide and he goes to help Jimmy’s wife.   All is not what it seems.

Peter Discovers that Diana is coping but not well.   Her two boys and an unwieldy mortgage are taking their toll.    He plans on helping her and discovers that Jimmy was into something unknown to both he and Diana.   Money and explosives are a bad combination and lead to a plot that Peter must unravel to protect Diana and her boys.

Mingus is my favorite character and you need to read the book to find out why.

I recommend the book.  I really enjoyed it.
