It was only sometimes back that Indian publishing world had hardly any book based on Army relationships that narrated the other side of being in Military. Kudos to author Swapnil Pandey that she first came up with Soldier’s Girl : Love story of a para commando in 2017 which was the story of Captain Aakash and Ananya . The book dealt with a love triangle where the risks involved in a service personnel life and its impact on their personal life was described. The book was an instant success. Love Story of a Commando is next book in the lot of Military fictions which portrays extraordinary military relationships with excellence. The adventurous life of Captain Virat a NSG Commando and girl next door Riya takes reader to a journey full of pain,separation and patriotism. The book gives an idea about the hardships military couple have to bear because the soldier’s are bound by their uniforms and duty first. The book is published by Westland Publishers which is an Amazon company. The book was recently launched by AWWA President Mrs Madhulika Rawat, Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat’s wife and Young leader of BJP and MP Sri Manoj Tiwari ji at India International Center New Delhi on 13th August 2019. The event was also graced by many Martyrs’ wives the veer naris and other dignitaries from various walks of life like Mrs Amrita Bhinder a youth activist and a prominent voice on Twitter ,author G Chintamani who has written a book on Sri Rajnath Singh ji Rajneeti recently himself, Sri Vikas Manhas etc. The book launch party was a high tea event and only on invites basis. The last minute preparations by the hosts, Author Swapnil Pandey and Westland editor Deepthi Talwar who played the moderator for the book launch event. Reader and social media influencer Gaurav Tyagi who works with Indian Railways and Captain Dharamveer Singh and EX Army Officer can be seen along with.

It is the beauty of this magnanimous organisation that Wife of Army Chief and first lady of Indian Army chose to support a young Army Wife and her endeavours.

Veer Nari Mrs Prema Iyer,wife of an Air Force Officer Fg Off BR Iyer who left her alone in 1965 shared her views about the books “ At 80 I thought I am beyond Love Stories but Swapnil Pandey has changed my views through her book which states love your nation along with your soldier.”

The graceful aura and modest behaviour of first lady of Indian Army won everyone’s heart,she assured to interact with everyone,encouraged the young army wife swapnil pandey and also met Veer naris present at the event with all her heart.

The book stall set up by Westland publishing house where readers bought the books after the event and got it personally signed by the Author of the book in a close interaction. They also clicked pictures candidly with the author along with signed books.

Young readers later shared that it was a wonderful opportunity for them to witness this book launch event,know so much about Indian Armed Forces and meet eminent personalities of the nation so close. Veer Nari Mrs Shalini Lathar wife of martyr Major Sanjeev Lather can be seen among the guests in green salwar suit.

Youth activist and Twitter celebrity Amrita Bhinder who is also followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi can be seen dining happily with the chief guests of the event while media covers them.

High tea going on. Paneer patiz,mushroom rolls and pastries were some of the items from the lavish book launch party menu. The Westland had put many thoughts on the menu for the event suting everybody’s choice Tea and coffee were also served during the book launch.

Star guest Sri Manoj Tiwari delivered a beautiful speech in his magnificent voice. he also delivered a beautiful poem based on military relationships and said “ He has not be fortunate enough to crack NDA but he has many friends from defence fraternity, It is just not a soldier but also his wife who serves the nation. Military families has all his support. He also thanked Mrs Madhulika Rawat for taking time out and gracing the book launch event.”
