Beauty products Shopping haul at DLF Promenade

I have an inherent weakness over Cosmetics over everything else. The popping colours, the celestial fragrance, the bubbly bottles and the heavenly touch to the skin spin my senses to another dimension. And why not? We owe this much to our Body. Our health and beauty is a gift by the Gods and we should all pledge our loyalties to it naturally. ‘I don’t care’ sounds lame and the body is meant to be pampered. If you ask me, I only prefer the best for my body especially the skin care products. The lead and chemical based cheap beauty products are damaging and I prefer not to use any such products rather use our traditional oils or home remedies than turning onto cheap cosmetics.  And it pays off too! I keep on getting compliments from people around me for my glowing skin or fit body. But then you see I take it seriously too and work hard for it. So recently I was busy with my book events and promotions which resulted in serious depletion of my life saviours aka beauty products. Therefore when I got a chance to splurge into some serious shopping haul at DLF Promenade Delhi then I indulged lavishly with shopping therapy. Here let me share my experience with product descriptions and prices of course with you all.

Chanel Foundation

I headed straight into the lovely little chanel beauty boutique at DLF Promenade Vasant Kunj . Chanel is all about royality and it demands immediate attention. After spending some half an hour I settled onto Chanel Vitalumiere liquid foundation shade number 10 which is perfect for my fair and dry skin. Shade number 10 is their lightest of all the shades and vitalumiere is perfect as dry skin foundation.

Costed me INR 3800 for 30ml bottle.

Clinique Moisturizer

I have been using L’occitane moisturizer till recently and wanted a break so obviously Clinique was the obvious alternative. Clinique dramatically different moisturising lotion+ is an amazing lightweight moisturizer ideal for dry skin and summers. I bought it from shop number 112B DLF Promenade Mall Vasant Kunj and spend around 20 minutes there. I was aware of what moisturizer I needed but the shop girl spent some hard time convincing me to spend on Clinique Moisture Surge which was in offer and they actually performed a standard skin quiz onto my skin type before settling very unwilling for Clinique lotion+. I told them I needed only a basic moisturizer.

It costed me INR 3750 for 125ml bottle.

MAC Lipstick

Then I headed for the MAC Store just adjacent to Clinique store at DLF Promenade Mall. Lipstick swatching feels like nirvana to any fashion loving girl and buying a lipstick tops the chart of the shopping experience effortlessly. I recently had to buy a colorbar red lipstick in rush so I was kind of adamant to buy this cult lipstick as soon as I get a chance. So there was no second thoughts about MAC iconic Retro Matte Ruby Woo Lipstick  which gives a perfect shade of red to any girl. Though I spent some good 45 minutes swatching on various lipsticks and nailpaints all the while talking about it with the girl there only to buy MAC Ruby woo later.

It costed me INR 1500 for a standard lipstick stick size.

Body Shop Body Butter

I was seriously out of stock for a good body lotion so Body Shop Body Butter came naturally to my mind. The Body Shop Body Butters and shower gels are cult products of Body Shop. The summers are at its peak but my loyalties to body butters are such that I never switch to body lotions for my dry skin. So body butters are my beauty staples. I had to head to the near by Ambience Mall Vasant Kunj for the body shop outlet where I chose Body Shop British Rose Body Butter which provide instant glow while moisturizing the skin perfectly. Plus the fragrance is also blissful. Marks and Spencer bath and body products are cheap alternative of Body Shop products.

It costed me INR 1150 for 200 ml tub.

Bvlgari Perfume

Lastly after spending some good enough time over my cosmetic haul I decided to give it a coffee break but not before I end my beauty product shopping haul on a floral note. The retail therapy can not be completed without buying a good perfume and so I headed onto Shoppers Stop at Ambience Mall Vasant Kunj for a light summery perfume for women. I ended up buying Bvlgari Omnia Coral perfume which is their best seller too and holds a very fruity floral scent. The smell is very clear and sweet. Out of the world actually!

Costed me INR 4250 for 65ml bottle.

And finally the shopping hang over got much needed rest at the StarBucks outlets over steaming cup of coffee reading my own book Soldier’s Girl : Love story of a para commando again and again. Some love stories are forever and it is one of those kinds of Cinderella story just like the scent of a perfume, finish of a foundation and colour of a lipstick.

Do read! Don’t miss! Buy from Amazon or a bookstore near you.
