Working On SEO For Guiding Horses Crafts

I'm going to list here all the things that I have been doing to increase the traffic to my craft store. I'm no expert on SEO but I can just about manage to get by. However, I do often have, what I call, epiphany moments, when I realise why something has not been working so well. Or, why things are the way they are (that's usually in reference to myself).

My latest epiphany is why, although the store is now listed in Google, I'm still not receiving much traffic and therefore am not receiving any sales. I have come to the conclusion that my keywords are now at fault. I'm not using them correctly!

Here's what I've done,  or have been doing, or need to do:

  • Adding Alt text to my images (far from complete).
  • Dropping in Guiding Horses Crafts into descriptions and Alt tags.
  • Finding directories to list the business in.
  • Going over keywords I'm using within the store to make sure they're being picked up by Google. E.g. if you search for equine necklace, you do get one of my items showing up in Google. Yet, I'm not listed for Equine Jewellery, so that's something I need to fix.
  • Working to get this blog listed into Google
  • Separating all my sites out into their respective groups. E.g. The equine assisted therapy blog should not be listed for my crafts. Also, need to set up a unique site or blog for my writing.
  • Increasing stock.
  • Improving backlinks.
  • Improve descriptions of items
  • Improve photographs of items
  • Be more proactive on Youtube, and other social media platforms.
  • Finish my book!

If there is something on this list that you think should be, then please do leave a comment!
