More Endorsements of the Aspiration of IDRUFEM for Reps by Ijumu Market Women, NURTW Executives as Support for ADC swells

By Oyomi Raphel

The quest of Hon. Idris Rufus Oluwafemi for the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, House of Representative Seat on the platform of ADC received additional boost when Ijumu market women and Executives of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ijumu Chapter endorsed his aspiration and declared their support for the ADC in the coming elections. The Convener, Mrs. Kemi Balogun from Ekirin-Ade while speaking on behalf of the women in Iyara, lamented the level of poverty, underdevelopment and insecurity wrought by bad leadership which has made the need to give the ADC party total support in the forthcoming election imperative.
She reiterated that doing things the same way and expecting a different result is wishful, unfruitful thinking.

She observed that as the people of Yagba land have given the ADC a chance, they are enjoying the dividends of democracy under the purposeful and visionary leadership of Hon. Leke Abejide, the dutiful, responsive and responsible representative at the Green Chamber. She urged all the women to begin the house to house campaign to ensure victory for Hon. Idrufem who has been contributing to the growth and development of our women, youths and particularly on the girl child education.
Mrs. Mathew Rachel from Iyara corroborated the convener stated why they have decided to endorse Hon. Idrufem. She said with Idrufem, Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu constituency will be in a safe and better hand, owing to his rich credentials, international exposure, humility and charisma.
Similarly, the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Iyara branch also deemed it imperative to support and endorse the party's candidate. Mr. Emmanuel Ayeoribe (also known as Baba Isale) speaking on behalf of the Executives said Hon. Idris is likeable and approachable, and they have heard about his good work and humanitarian gesture, particularly the recent payment of tuition fees for the eleven students of Kogi State University. He said “this is a sign of good things to come and education is key to growth and development”. He urged the good people of Ijumu to support Idrufem for the long-awaited dividends of democracy that have long eluded the people of Ijumu.
In attendance was the Vice Chairman of the Union, Mr. Mohammed Amoto and other Executives of the Union
