To most people like me who graced the surprise birthday dinner planned for my Papa, great mentor, father and Pastor, Goodheart Obi Ekwueme, they will confirm that there was a shift in the atmosphere that night and we all knew that our lives have totally moved away from the old to the new.
It was not like any birthday dinner I have attended in the past. I thought to myself, if this was just a gathering to celebrate a man whom God has used tremendously to enrich and transform lives, how will Heaven be like? I am very sure I had a moment of heaven on earth on the 4th of December, 2016.

Right after we were all seated, There was a media presentation showing people in and outside Nigeria who could not make it to the dinner loving on this God's gift to man and people present took turns to talk about how God through Pastor Goodheart has touched their lives, From being the only woman who made it to a position in her organization that many say was only reserved for the men, to carrying her baby after many miscarriages, to being an obedient loving daughter to her daddy after being counseled by "Uncle Obi" as she fondly calls him etc. I am sure that Pastor was emotional and surprised at the same time.
Then came the special prayer session for Pastor Goodheart by The Church In The City, TCITC, pastors with Pastor Sam Oye of the Transforming Church leading in appreciation and prayers. These great men of God surrounded the birthday man and his lovely wife as they called the God of heaven, the Almighty and all sufficient one to continuously lead Pastor Goodheart by the hand.
Before the night came to an end, Pastor Goodheart took the microphone and prayed heaven down on everyone who was present, blessing us with a father's blessing and prophetic prayer covering. It was my best part of the night as I could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in the gathering.
He also took time to go to every table, greeting and thanking all who came to celebrate with him while having a picture moment.
Papa's birthday is December 3rd but there is something about December 4th, 2016 that will forever linger in our hearts. Somehow as we journey through life, we will continuously make reference to this special day that a father chose his birthday dinner to specially bless and pray prophetically for his children. 2nd Chronicles 20:20 gives me all the assurances I need.
Happy Birthday dear Goodhearted one, whose heart yearns for God alone. When I grow up, I want to be like you daddy. I love the God in you.
