Before the final moments of your last breath, there lie few most important moments of your life, which will take you a Quick tour of gone by life moments like a quick walkthrough. It happens with you guys and us also. My mother always talked about this moment to 50 of our brothers.

In our community, there are many of them who have faced these near-death situations and got saved in the last slimiest moment; my mother was one of those. She always told me; conserve my energies for the most needed moments – those near death moments. But sadly, we have this moments every half hour, in fact, I have lost of all of my brothers in aspic of a moment.

All 50 of them, except me!!

Might sound bullshit to you, but it’s true…!

Born near slums of Mumbai, I have never travelled towards the uptown. My Mom always warned me, “ Beta, beware of those places, you are the last one on earth they want to see and they do whatever it takes to nail you down and throw you like nothing.”

“But, mom, there the Food is tasty, I heard?”

“Forget about taste, do you want to live?”, my mom shouted back.

“Of course, I want to, but even here, we have no scope to live for a day or two. Remember the Mota khan, he uses to bully me every day. He didn’t come back and of course his dad. And that happened in our next street.” I paused to see my mom’s reaction.

“So, what I meant to say is, Mom, here or there, we are bound to die. But let me try that tasty food before I die.”  I turned back and stepped out, so fast, before my mom calls me back.

My gang of friends got into that neighbourhood, which everyone from my community talks about.  Plush houses, green lawns and above that great food. As we slip over the wall into a great villa, for the first time in my life, I saw something for the first time in my tiny life. Healthy people walking around on the lawn, laughing and dancing to the music.

“ Yummy, food it is!”, my frail friend started wetting his lips. I looked at him.

Sure, a feast for him and is for me too. It’s been 2 days, that we didn’t have proper food. Ghost smoke in our neighbourhood, scare the shit out of us.

Now it’s the time to binge on food, that makes us live for few more days.

We slowly sneaked into the lawn and started looking for our spot without any noise.

There is a girl sitting on a chair, looking into thin air puffing smoke into the air.

“ Look at her!! A great meal”, I thought while I started approaching her.

I stood behind her and with my hands slowly reaching her neck.

Then the unexpected happened, which made me fell down unconscious.  There is something in the air, like a chemical.

My mom’s words of caution started making rounds in my ears.

I crashed onto the floor, with fainting eyes, I looked.

Same situation with my friend, he was already down, but not moving at all.

Farewell, dost!!

I waited for some more moments and started back and tried to escape from the place like a lightning.

Two hands hit me from both ends and I fell …

Laughs around, “ Ek Machar Saala Aadmi ko…”, “ What a dialogue na… Nanaji, you are great!!”

“ Dude, whenever I kill a mosquito, I remind of this only.”
