What we ate and drank: If you want to sample the wonders of gourmet European Cuisine head to Café Mangii. The restaurant serves authentic, delightful Italian, Mediterranean and European cuisine paired with exotic wines. The scrumptious appetizers and lip-smacking dessert selection ensures you leave feeling happy and content. A casual all-day diner that offers handpicked gourmet delicacies, you must try their wood –fired pizzas that are so authentic that you will be transported to Italy. The thin crust pizzas are topped with fresh ingredients that simply melt in your mouth. For starters however a must try is the Potage Parmentier, a creamy leek and potato soup with spinach crisps. Also try the Watermelon & Feta salad a crunchy mix of feta cheese, fresh basil and Arugula, drizzled with mint, honey and Balsamic dressing. The Cheddar Jalapeno Poppers is a sinfully delightful crispy and deep fried popper with sun dried tomato aioli that melts in your mouth. For the main course the Cottage Cheese Steak a Tomato Risotto with Olive and Cilantro Tapenade and Saffron Sauce is a great choice for its myriad flavours that combine well together to create a wholesome dish. This apart their pastas are great too. However do keep some space for the newly launched dessert menu that includes some winners like the Molleux, a French classic, a 100% chocolate sable, buttery biscuit that is served with vanilla ice cream and the Nutella Surprise Crunch, an eggless option made from hazelnut creameux and milk chocolate mousse. Do try the 34-layered cake that comes with a whopping 54% chocolate mousse! Now this is a meal that you must not miss!

Here is a recipe of Potage Parmenntier Soup by Corporate Chef Ajay Thakur

Potage Parmenntier Soup

4 to 5 medium potatoes, roughly chopped

3 large leeks

4 – 5 cups vegetable stock

1 cup heavy cream

Salt, to taste

1 tsp chopped parsley

Method

Heat the oil in a large stockpot over medium heat.

Add the leek and potato. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables have begun to soften and brown slightly, about 8 to 12 minutes

Add the vegetable stock, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.

Blend until smooth, using a blender. Add the cream, ladle into bowls and garnish with a chopped parsley.
