Welcome to Day 13 of Blogmas!
In winter a lot of people’s Skin needs extra care, and mine is the same. I find that even though I have combination skin, the dry parts of my face become even drier, but it’s hard to combat that when the oily parts of your face are like an actual oil slick.
I’m not an expert on skin care at all, but finally, after years and years of having problematic skin, I’ve finally found a Skincare Routine that works for me and doesn’t break me out. So I thought I would share it with you guys in case anyone is looking for any new products to try!
STEP ONE – MAKEUP REMOVAL
On days when I wear makeup I start my skincare routine by removing my makeup with Johnson’s Bedtime Baby Bath. I know, you’re probably thinking that’s a weird product to remove your makeup with, but it’s oil-free, it doesn’t irritate my skin and I’m convinced it helps me to sleep. So, I’m sticking with it!
To use, I rub the product into my skin dry and remove with a damp, hot (preferably dark) flannel.
STEP TWO – CLEANSE
To cleanse my face I use the Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Wash. Again, this product is oil free and really helps to both get rid of and prevent spots. It also produces a cold, tingly feeling when you massage it into your skin, which helps you to feel like it is actually working!
After removing my makeup I massage this into my already damp skin and remove with a hot, damp flannel.
STEP THREE – TONE
After cleansing my face, I pat it dry with a cotton towel and then tone with Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser. I’ve tried so many different toners but I always end up coming back to this one, I absolutely swear by it!
To use, I put a few drops on a cotton wool pad and sweep over my face and neck.
STEP FOUR – MOISTURISE
Moisturiser has always been a hit and miss thing for me, but one I’ve always loved is Simple Oil Balancing Moisturiser. It always seems to moisturise my skin perfectly without making the oily parts oilier, which is difficult to find!
Do you have any winter skincare essentials that you swear by? Let me know in the comments!
Check back tomorrow for the next day of Blogmas!
