Written over sixty years ago, the Manuscript, which was originally written for the granddaughters of the author, it  went missing after the author’s death in 1984. However, it was never completely out of the mind of his grandson, Barry Short, who the manuscript, along with a wealth of other various works of the author, had been bequeathed to.
Although the manuscript had been rediscoveredfirst
Updated to look like a modern day Children’s book to appeal to modern day children, the Story itself will also appeal to children of yesteryear.  The antagonist vs. protagonist plot has been likened by the publisher to classic cartoons Tom & Jerry, Tweety Bird and Sylvester or the Road Runner.  “I honestly think anyone who grew up watching these cartoons will also feel the familiarity of their youth while reading this book. It was one of the first things that jumped out at me,” Hope said.
While the main theme is undoubtedly antagonist vs protagonist, it’s not the book’s only theme. There is also an environmental theme dealing with animal preservation that was well ahead of its time. “The suggested reading age listed for this book was really just a guide. This book should be read by all ages, whether they have children in their lives or not. This is destined to be a classic.”
