It Takes A Village

Good day everyone, thanks for stopping by. Today kicks off the tour for The Alligator & the Ducklings. Day one was supposed to be two posts, a review and a guest post. At the time of writing this only the guest post has posted. The guest post focused on the main focus of the book: Bullying.

As you will see, this post was inspired by a recent review that made many false claims. If you read The Alligator & the Ducklings properly you will see that the bully (the alligator) had gotten away with his behavior for years. It is reasonable to believe that the adult creatures finally had enough and band together to break the cycle of bullying for the next generation.

After that review was posted, I had a few friends read this book. They all said they liked it, but one friend said she found it to be a bit mature. When I told her it was written in the 60s she said that it made sense to her then. While I was glad to hear that, I will admit I was also somewhat baffled. What has changed since then? Unfortunately, it seems to be that adults are less hands on when it comes to dealing with this issue. Judging from the staggering statistics, I don't think that method is working. Like this post says, it takes a village. If we band together we can snuff out bullying once and for all.
