2016 Kabaddi World Cup is going to start from 7th October and will go on upto 22nd of this month. India has organized all the last seven seasons of KWC and this year it will be hosted in Ahmedabad, Gujrat. The first Kabaddi World Cup was organized by the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) in the year 2004. The next one was played in 2007 followed by 2010 World Cup. And then onwards, it is being organized every year.
In the year 1990, Kabaddi became a part of Asian Games. India has always dominated the Kabaddi championships and has won all the gold medals since then. With the huge success PKL or Pro Kabaddi League, this sport has gained great popularity over the last two years. On the opening day of 2016 Kabaddi World Cup, current World champion India will take on South Korea. In another match, USA will face Iran on the same day, i.e. 7th October, 2016.

Total 12 countries will take part in the eighth season of this tournament. All the teams are divided into two groups of six teams each. Kabaddi world cup 2016 teams are:
