I’ve always been a summer person and between the months of May and August, there is nowhere else I would rather be than on the Beach. For as long as I can remember the sea has been like a magnet to me. Something to do with my maternal Greek grandmother’s genes maybe?
I’m lucky enough to be in the right part of the world right now to be lapping up the September sunshine before returning to the UK at the end of the week to brace myself for the coming winter months.
I may not be quite so active on the beach these days. I no longer have that overwhelming urge to cartwheel up the beach, or surf until I drop. I am happy just to sit with my toes in the sand soaking up the sun, watching the sea ebb and flow.
