Jo Cox – “Fight against the hatred that killed her”

Jo Cox was born and bred in Batley, West Yorkshire.  She was immensely proud of her Yorkshire heritage.  Today she was horrifically gunned her down in the street in Birstall, West Yorkshire, just two miles down the road from the place of her birth.

Whatever the circumstances, whatever the motive, justice must be done for this 41-year-old Labour MP, Humanitarian and mother of two.  An ardent campaigner who unquestionably had so much more to give.

Her husband, Brendan, urged people to “Fight against the hatred that killed Jo”.  He also said:

“Jo believed in a better world and she fought for it every day of her life with an energy, and a zest for life that would exhaust most people.”

Brendan Cox – 16th June 2016

Our love and thoughts are with Brendan and their daughters.
