Legendary actor and writer Kader Khan passed away on 31 Dec 2018 at a hospital in Canada at the age of 81. The heart breaking news about Kader Khan’s heavenly abode broke on New Year, leaving millions of fans and Bollywood in grief.

As Bollywood paid their tribute and mourn the loss of Kader Khan on Twitter and Instagram, so did actor Govinda took to social media and shared his sentiments. His Instagram post read that “Kader Khan was not just his Ustaad but also a father figure.”. Here is what Govinda posted on Instagram –

Govinda and Kader Khan worked together in numerous 90s’ movies, which became a memory lane for any 80s’ and 90s’ kid. The duo used to weave magic on screen with numerous superhit comedy movies like Dulhe Raja, Coolie No.1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Raja Babu, Aunty No.1, Joru Ka Ghulam and Akhiyon Se Goli Maare to name a few.
However, Karder Khan’s son Sarfaraz did not appreciate Govinda’s tribute towards his father and slammed in return. Sarfaraz not only slammed Govinda, but entire Bollywood industry who neglected his father and never inquired about his health after he migrated to Canada.
He said, ” How many times did Govinda called us to know about his father figure’s health? Has he even bothered to call us even once after my father’s passing away? This is the way our film industry has become”.
He told IANS, “It is the way the Indian film industry has become now. There are too many fragmented camps and loyalties. The out-of-sight-out-of-mind mentality can’t be helped.”
“There are no real feelings for those who have contributed to Indian cinema when they’re no longer active. The top guns may be seen getting clicked with these retired veterans. But the affection goes only as far as photographs. No more. Look at the condition in which Lalita Pawarji and Mohan Chotiji died. Luckily, my father had three sons to look after him. What about those who die with no financial and emotional support?” – Said Sarafaraz.
You may call Kader Khan’s son Sarfaraz rude, but he showed the real faces of Bollywood. His bitter words is tight slap to all those who bid adieu to legend actor Kader Khan for a name sake and a formality.
