snow day / yesterday / upcoming

it’s snowy, I’m smoked, and also stressed

also Yesterday was lovely

and I have some events I’m looking forward to ~

snow day

it’s 1:36pm, I have acquired food, and I smoked earlier this morning so I’m chilling right now

I’m in a pretty good mood

I’m checking out some bandcamp artists that I’ve been meaning to look at for quite some  time, and I’m really digging slug christ right now, prob gonna write another music post pretty soon which is gonna be lit

people still piss me off but I’m doing pretty well today I would say

and I know the smoking helps too to put me in a good mood but yeah so far so good w the snow day

only thing is my roommate isn’t home & I kinda wish I had some social contact today but also it’s nice to be alone

yesterday

I was feeling pretty shitty for most of the day yesterday, and for whatever reason my stomach was really upset and I was very close to vomiting practically all day. I gagged many times throughout the day and I think it was anxiety related but still nausea really sucks. my stomach gets problems like that fairly consistently when I’m anxious

but then at 7:30 I met my friend sally and her delta delta delta Sorority sisters for an informal recruitment casual dinner in the GSU and it was so lovely!! I met some really cool people, and I was feeling pretty on the fence about sorority life but tridelta is super chill and the girls I met are lovely and we clicked pretty immediately, which was a really nice feeling. I’m going to another informal recruitment event on Thursday and possibly tomorrow as well, hoping to make a good impression on some more people

my friend sally that’s in the sorority is in charge of membership recruitment and I am basically guaranteed a bid if I want one, and honestly, I’m really considering it. I wouldn’t consider myself a sorority girl at all but the sisters that I met were all wonderful people and I’m definitely way more open to the idea after yesterday. and after talking to sally about it too, I really feel like I’d be a good fit with them & I would love to have a group of friends like them.

then last night I also had the meeting for the zine I do with the radio station called The Beat which was really uneventful, the Ed in Chief wasn’t there so it was just a bunch of us sitting at a table talking about music, which was v cool

I have a few cool friends there (Paul, Caroline, and Sophie) and I always enjoy their company & talking to them, so it was nice to see them after break as well

upcoming

ok so pinegrove is coming to Boston at the end of April and I went to go buy tickets & they were sold out which SUCKS but my friend from tridelta might be getting me a ticket which would be lit as fuck because I really wanna go

and I also bought tickets to see The Japanese House in 2 weeks which I’m v excited about

and I bought tickets to see The Courtneys // Jay Som // halfsour in 2 weeks as well and I have had that on my calendar for awhile but I finally just got around to buying tickets today. they’re all on bandcamp & they hail from Canada, California, and Boston respectively so I’m pumped to see them as well ~

so yeah I think things are (relatively) okay rn

and I’m also looking at my summer & what I’m gonna do which is exciting bc I’m managing at the yoga studio I was working at for awhile but I’m looking to also maybe take a class at a nearby college to get a couple of credits in and stay busy.

last summer I was not busy at all and I literally just smoked all the time every day and I don’t want to get back into that routine like I did before so I’m tryna stay active & occupied

but yes those are all the life updates I have for now

hope all of your days are wonderful, peace + love, & if you’re in the northern part of the east coast rn, enjoy the snow day ~
