Here’s Why this State Would Require huge Amount of Construction Equipment

As we know, demand of Construction Equipment in any region or country only depends on the infrastructure development. The demand of CE started recovering in the country after the contraction of 4 years on the back of infrastructure development in various sectors.  In last one year, various reports are optimistic for further growth of Indian construction equipment industry due to futuristic infrastructure projects in the country.

Here we will talk about one Indian state, which would require a huge amount of construction equipment over the period of next 10 to 15 years due to continuous infrastructure growth in that region.  The State is Andhra Pradesh, after the separation, the government is committed to invest heavily in infrastructures, which would lead to the huge demand of construction equipment in the region.

The state has set a target to become one of the top three states in India by 2022 and wants to achieve the status of a developed state in the country by 2029. Andhra Pradesh has chosen Amaravati for its state capital and it will be developed on a greenfield site of 217 square kilometers and the state Chief Minister Naidu promised to make it a world-class city. In the next 10 years Amaravati will spread over 54,000 acres, he recently said.

The capital region will need an investment of Rs.155 trillion to meet its basic service standards.

The Andhra Pradesh government has taken various initiatives to bring domestic and international investment in various sectors including Roads, power, ports, Rail, Telecommunications, Inland waterways, water, Airports, Gas, and others. The government has planned to develop 4 new sea ports, 8 new airports including Greenfield International airports, 7 no-frills airports.  There is also a huge opportunity in urban and social infrastructure development and modernization for bus and railway stations.  The State has also planned Metro rail project in Vizag and Vijaywada and revival of Inland water transport (IWT) in the state.

The AP government has also decided to invest in Water grid and energy (solar parks and wind energy projects), tourism projects like Buddhist circuits, Araku Hill station, Beach Corridor, religious tourism in Tirupati and also world longest ring road is expected to come up in the capital region.  Educational and sports infrastructures would also take place across the states.

The first phase of development of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh is scheduled to be completed by 2018. The foundation stone for Amaravati was laid down by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in October 2015.

The State has planned 975-km coastal Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor.

Over the last one year, State Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu has visited various countries including, Japan, China, Singapore and Davos to introduce AP as an investment destination.

The Greenfield developments in the state of Andhra Pradesh would surely create a huge demand for various types of Earthmoving, material handling, concrete equipment and commercial vehicles including Tippers, dumpers, trucks and others.

Infrastructure-led growth in the country, forced all the recently published report to project India as a key growth market in coming years.  One of the Off-Highway Research report project that sales of Backhoe loader in India are expected to increase by over 32 percent in next 5 years.
