"Oh, god! Look at my download speed"

"What the ****, it's stuck again"

"I can't wait 2 days to download this"

Nowadays, most people say like. Maybe you too, that is why you are reading this now. Keep reading, maybe you will find the right solution. You can find lot of ways to speed up your Torrent download. But some are too complicated.

So here, I am focusing about a simple way.

Do you know about selecting a good torrent file?

Lot of people doesn't know about this method. They are going to torrent site and type file name on search bar and find a file that they like and try to download.
But it's too slow or stuck downloading at some percentage. Now what? You can stay until it is fully downloaded. Really!!! Are you going to do that?

Okay! Let's see how to find good torrent files.

Look at this image. 2544 seeders. That mean you can download it very fast. It’s a good healthy torrent file.

And look at this one. 0 seeders. Oh god!!! You will not download this file ever. So don’t download files like this. Because it’s waste of your time.

So when you trying to download a file from torrent, first of all check seeds count and download it.

If you want to get more knowledge about seeds, peers and how torrent works, then keep reading until end of this post.

What are seeds and peers? Is it important?
Yes, it's important.

Seeds mean people who have finished downloading, but are letting you connect to them so that you can download faster.

Peers mean people who do not have the complete file and is currently downloading. But can also upload the parts of the file that other people do not have.

So on seeds your torrent client display like this 6 (28), that means you are connected to 6 seeds from 28. Client cannot connect with other 22 seeds because of their limited connectivity or some other reason.

On peers your client display like 4 (14), that means you are connected to 4 peers from 14. Your client trackers know about 10 more peers which your client not connected.

Now let’s see how it's work?

There isn’t any central server with these files. There are only users. If you are an uploader, then someone download file from you and he can share too. If he shares, then there are two uploaders. Then another person can download it faster.

It's look like this. Uploader has not good speed to upload the file, but 2nd person has. Then 3rd person can download it fast with helping 2nd person, because the 2nd person sharing the file. That is seeding. If 2nd person stopped seeding, 3rd person only have one uploader (original uploader). Then 3rd person need to wait because original uploader speed is too slow.

I think you got some idea about seeding.

Conclusion

So that is why seed is more important. If you want to download fast, then you have to find a good healthy file, that people sharing (That mean file with seeds).
“How to speed up torrent downloads” – Now you know the best way to speed your download.
And if you’re seeding a file after downloaded, that will help someone to download that file in that time. But if you want to stop seeding, select your downloaded file and click on stop button.
