The Bowie Unseen exhibition will feature pictures taken by Swiss photographer Markus Klinko for the singer’s 2002 Heathen album.

Many are from a session which provided the artwork for Bowie’s 2002 album Heathen
The album, which featured covers of songs by Pixies, Neil Young and the Legendary Stardust Cowboy as well as nine original tracks, was seen as a return to form by the genre-hopping performer
It was nominated for the Mercury Prize but lost out to Ms Dynamite’s A Little Deeper
Heathen was widely interpreted as Bowie’s response to the September 11 attacks. He had lived in New York since the early 1990s
Bowie Unseen will run at Hollywood’s Mr MusicHead Gallery until 15 June
