Captain Simratpal Singh has just created history , He won a law suit that grants him the right to serve in the U.S Army with long hair , beard and a turban in accordance with his Sikh faith .
Captain Simratpal has been serving in the U.S Army for over 10 years , Throughout these years he served in short hair and also without turban . It was the only last year when he decided to take this matter to court .

In 1981 , stricter rules were implemented and religious accommodation was evaluated on a case-by-case basis.Until now only 3 Sikhs have been allowed to serve with beard and turban , But Captain Simratpal is the first ever serving Sikh to Secure the rights.
